Maple Story;
Maple Story is a cheesy online game involving a character you make who goes around to kill monsters. Why do you kill monsters? To level up. Why do you level up? To level up again! I know, it's pretty pointless, that's why I play.

My Game Info
IGN: ToiletSeat
Class: Ice/Lightning Mage
Level: 10x
Server: GMS Scania
Guild: ToiletFlush

ToiletSeat is a Legit Scanian Ice/Lightning Mage who is extremely proud that he doesn't use NX Cash. Since level 80, ToiletSeat has gone low-luk, which means that he no longer puts ability points into luk. By being low-luk, ToiletSeat is unable to equip anymore equipment and he now focuses his fianances on scrolling current equipment.
Toiletseat is lvl 100 as of March 14th, 2007 ... PI DAY!

My Maple History
I never really liked the magician class in Maple Story, but since they leveled up a lot faster than bandits (in the beginning) and it felt like dejavu to create another bandit after beta, I created a magician. I have been playing since Beta because I am an idiot. In the Beta version, I owned a level 42 bandit, however when Beta got transfered to Global, the player information could not be transfered and everyone had to create new characters.
Now, back in those days, we had it hard. Since everyone had to restart their characters, we were all kill stealing each other in Maple Island in order to level up on snails. Also, everytime we bought something, when it was time to resell it, the prices would have dropped dramatically. When I was level 40, someone was considered "pro" to have blue moon earrings. When I was level 45, pansy earrings were to die for. When I became level 50, you were considered "pro" if you had enough meso to buy a dark circlet. I bought mine for 2.9mil, and when it was time for resell, I only sold it for 300 - 400k.
Needless to say, I'm poor.

My Maple Pet Peeves
Firstly I "strongly dislike" it when people use cash shop. I know cash shop keeps the game alive, and I don't mind if people buy shop spaces, ap-reset, and useful things; but it really gets on my nerves when people spend their REAL LIFE money on cash shop equipment. All the equips look terrible and the preppyness of it all drives me to stereotype cash shoppers as "superficial".
Ok, so how nasty they look is thier problem. However cash shoppers seem to be genuinely full of themselves. I proformed a little test to see what kinds of people ks me and 9 out of 10 of them use cash shop. The other 10% mostly categorizes into: females, characters of higher level, males with those ugly catish starter eyes and assasins (but I have to admit there are very few assasins that do not use cash shop anyway).
My second peeve on Maple Story are female characters in general. In MS female characters think they are superior and that all the male characters are in love with them ... um ... NO! Several times while I was training, these level 30 female noobs would come and ks me - and when I defend they do the f4 face (crying). I ignore it and continue. They get p!ssed and defame me ... WHAT THE ...?! In addition female characters have nasty equipment. EVERYTHING has to be so "slutty" ... it's disturbing! (of course, after I saw a female on Ragnarok, I felt much better about Maple Story).
My Third peeve: you know when people enter your channel, but when they see the red dot on the map (which is you), they don't change channels automatically, instead, they come and check you out first. If they're higher level than you, they ks you; if lower, THEN they change. That's somewhat juvenille. If someone is training there, you change channels REGARDLESS - sheesh. And when they do change it's like "what, am I that ugly?!" Even if they change because I'm higher level, it's like "So if I were any lower you wouldn't have scrammed off like that?" Get this straight fellow MSers, you should be more scared of a level 1 noob called "CerealKiller" than a level 60-something noob called "ToiletSeat" ... you just don't get scared of people (or chickens) called "ToiletSeat" ... no!
My Fourth peeve is geared towards equipment. Next to female equip, those crappy Chief Stan Hats must be the runner up for ugliest thing ever. I was so mad when I got that cowduckardly hat after that not-so-easy quest. In fact, MS wouldn't let me give it away OR sell it at NPC! So here's this ugly chunk of cr@p stuck in my inventory, clogging up space ... which I threw away eventually lol.

Maple Stories to Gloat About
Two main favourable things occured to me during my "Maple Story Life" (which isn't much of a 'life' anyway): getting an Esther Shield and getting an Evil Wings.
Allow me to expand.
When I was about level 53, Ludibrium came out ... along with Esther Shield - a shield created strictly for magicians. Because all of us weak magicians were stuck with a panlid for so long, this new shield was a big thing ... and only ONE monster dropped it. Being the cheap and miserish me, I decided not to buy one for 4m mesos, but to find my own - apparently everyone was as cheap as me cause that place was OVERLOADED with people looking for the Esther Shield. Level after level I trained there looking for an Esther Shield - level after level I was ks'ed by cash shoppers (that's how I developed my hate for them). So finally at level 57, 9.45% - 4 levels after I started looking for it, I FOUND ONE. Not only did I not have to pay for it, but it has perfect int. The average Esther Shield has +1 INT, but this one has 2 n_n). Meet my shield, Charlie. He took me so much work to find, that I can't bear not having it equipped for a split second xD.
Next Story. I've always wanted an Evil Wings (the red weapon with wings). The average half-decently scrolled Evil Wings was 30m - making it the most expensive weapon for mages at the time. I somehow sold all my extra items with the help of Basil Market and got up to 26m. Somehow, I managed to get an badly-scrolled Evil Wings for 21m.
Edit: shortly after my happiness, Maple Story staff editted the game so that it made easier lvled monsters able to drop Evil Wings and therefore the price went down before I could ever sell it =(
