"Skill"-wise, this isn't my best layout. However, I really like the sewage-compost-rotting-colours and the overall dark greenishness. The colours in this layout suit my chickenality more so than any other layout I have created. In the skinned version of my site, the stylesheet of this layout is cool because it's simple and it works.
The only new things I attempted with this layout were animated mouseovers and rounded tops.
On the contrary, I don't like the light blue ... I just strongly dislike that colour.

This features a Mickey Mouse doodle I created on photoshop. I like the colours and all the random circles behind Mickey.
Thanks to
Kasey for allowing me to use her animation method which contributed to the animated mouseovers. Speaking of the mouseovers - they are more or less greyscale until one hovers over it and it colours itself *grin*.
Though the graphic portion is not too bad, the stylesheet was kind of iffy. The colours were hard to choose because they had to match the circles AND the dark green background - at the end my stylesheet for the content didn't screw up the lyout too much, but the css for the sidebar made my layout look really blocky.

For this layout, I attempted a more "calm and peaceful" effect. I didn't go all out trying out graphic tips I learned nor did I incorperate "interesting" css effects.
This layout features two chickens from
Chickenville who chat about what they should do about the human species since they are so corrupt. And the chickens ended up saying "well, there must be lots of pressure for humans to be the penicle of God's creation, give thme another chance just like how God gave them chances"
Awww ... and yet humans still mock us ... *tries not to go kill someone*
WWJD!
After skinning my site properly, the css of this layout turned out REALLY good. I love the css more than the layout simplicity.

... Spongebob is ... not straight.
Well, I didn't know that while I was creating my lucky version 10 layout T_T, thanks for informing me guys (that was sarcasm).
I like the graphic stuff about this layout merely because it took so long to pixel the spongebob thingers. While I was pixeling all this, I remember being [insert all words that express anger here] at tracers, because HERE I AM HONESTLY MAKING THIS THING PIXEL BY PIXEL AND THERE ARE THESE PEOPLE WHO CLAIM THAT THEY'RE SOOO GOOD AT PIXELING AND THEY'RE FRAKING TRACERS. Ok, back to the layout, I like how the brush-tooled background gives the sharp pixeled sponge some contrast.
Yes, I'm aware that it says "ambianze.net/feather".

Note: I TRACED THE PIXEL ON THIS LAYOUT. and YES, I know it still says "ambianze.net"!
Yes, the disgrace, this is the first and only pixel I had and will trace. I keep trying to take this layout down because - tracers are
IDIOTS - I'm already a complete idiot regarding many other things, and the last thing I want is to be an idiot about this too =D.
So why isn't this layout down yet? My
host requested, make that DEMANDED, me to keep this layout, and being the good hostee I am, I obeyed =).
I like the overall whooshyness of it, but the orange is
blinding and I completely messed up the stylesheet.

I like the cariety of colours despite the use of pink, but I don't like the characters I used. I despise using scans for layout ideas because every other - no offense - girly, freak of nature, ugly, "pixel site" uses deformed scans of cheesy happy-go-lucky characters like these.
I tryed to incorperate photoshop effects that I learned up to the point of the layout creation, but because my coding sucks, the layout didn't work on any resolution BUT mine and the content space was too small for my ramble-lee self - so ... BYE BYE.

Greeennnn! I guess I like the graphic, but the character is a bit too typical for me. KFC ... and ...
mushrooms = what the helmet?! Mushrooms are too ... common. It's one of those things that is so random, that people keep saying it to try to be random but it's so random that it's not random - if you get what I mean.
Notice how the "A" in "Feather" is caps-ed? That's what my site name is supposed to be, but my layouts rarely look 'decent' with the caps-ed "A".
This stylesheet is not too good but not flat out bad either, that is, seeing as this is something that
I created.

this has GOT to be my worst layout.
Sure i like the chicken ... but the stylesheet and application of "skill" and originality is so horrible!
I
hate the font I used for my site name - almost EVERY uses that, and I don't even see what's so good about it.
The stylesheet made it so hard to read and the image was literally doodled. I could have done the same thing with a cruddy program like MS Paint.
Again, this probably only worked on Internet Explorer.

I liked this.
It was the first time I applied bits and peices of my "photoshop knowledge" to create a layout. Sure, I used the same pixel for both version 3 and 4, but I used started pixeling and that chicken pixel was
the pixel that got me interested in pixeling more.
As for coding, it was the first time I tried mouseovers and it took me SO long to code, but later my whole "mouseover-in-amateur-sites" thing got other people interested in it and I stupidly gave them the code and now I'm not the only amateur site with a mouseover - I hate myself for that.
My stylesheet was kind of overboard - I tried applying too many things that I learned. The layout only worked on Internet Explorer.

My very first pixel layout and pixel attempt. It took a
really long to pixel, but I guess that's ok because it got me my first affiliate, first small stream of visitors, and my first stealer.
This layout basically combines my (only) interests: Chickens and Green and it stayed up for a LONG time because it took the coding, pixeling and overall effort was so time comsuming that I never really got bored of it.
The stylesheet and coding was totally screwed up - my site was mozilla firefox disfunctional.
I finally took the layout down because people where complaining that I didn't change my layout and that it was too green - laugh out loud.

My first and only blend freaturing my favourite television show:
Peep and the Big Wide World.
I was kind of learning to code by myself - I still had a lot of host assistance (thank God for Maybelle) ... so obviously considering my coding isn't so good now, you can guess that the coding then was pretty bad. I'm not sure if this layout would have worked on other browsers because I didn't know other browsers existed until after this layout.
This is also when I found out that I can't make blends for beans.
I lost version 1, lucky you.
